How Our Estimator Tools Work
Three free tools to help you figure out what you need, what it costs, and how to get it delivered — before you make a trip to the yard.
Material Estimator
Enter your project's dimensions — length, width, and depth — and the estimator calculates how much material you need. It works for rectangular, circular, and triangular areas. You'll see results in cubic yards, bags, and estimated weight in tons, so you know exactly what to order.
How to use it
- 1 Pick your shape — rectangle, circle, or triangle — and enter the measurements in feet.
- 2 Set the depth in inches. The default is 3 inches, which works for most decorative applications. The tool tells you if it's using the default.
- 3 Hit Calculate. You'll see cubic yards, bags needed, and estimated tons. We add 10% extra to account for settling and uneven ground.
- 4 Browse materials and add them to your quote. Pricing updates automatically based on your calculated quantity.
Order Builder
Once you know what you need, the order builder lets you fine-tune your order. Adjust quantities, switch between yards and bags, add multiple materials, and see your total with delivery costs. Items you added in the estimator carry over automatically.
Delivery Fees
Enter your delivery address to see the exact fee. Orders of 4+ cubic yards within 15 miles qualify for free delivery. Smaller orders are $34 (3 yards), $65 (2 yards), or $89 (1 yard or less).
Quantity Minimums
Bulk orders go in quarter-yard increments (0.25, 0.50, 0.75, 1.00…). Bags are sold in whole numbers. The minimum bulk order is a quarter yard.
Quote & Delivery Slip
When your order looks right, you can print it or save it as a PDF. The quote shows every material, quantity, unit price, delivery fee, and grand total — the same format our yard uses for delivery slips. You can also share it as a link that anyone can open.
